Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international medical non-governmental humanitarian organization that provides aid worldwide to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters. The organization is a recipient of the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize for its work with populations facing extreme danger.
The Food Bank of Northern Indiana works in partnership with our community to feed the hungry, to increase awareness of the effects of hunger and lead programs designed to alleviate hunger. The Food Bank of Northern Indiana is a member of Feeding America-the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization. Feeding America network of food banks, pantries and meal programs serve virtually every community in the United States — 46 million people, including 12 million children and 7 million seniors.
Michiana Five for the Homeless works to restore dignity to the homeless and poor in our community by providing basic needs for their survival. The organization's mission is to feed, clothe and show love to those who are homeless or poor that no one else cares about. Additionally, they educate the public about homelessness and inspire others to random acts of kindness towards all those who are homeless or in need.
